Gasparilla- PEB running for MooseStrong

For many, the Gasparilla Pirate Fest is a day of festivities and celebrations. For Gregg Page and Steve Eichenblatt this event has become much more.

On Sunday, Feb. 23rd Gregg and Steve along with family and friends ran the Gasparilla half marathon for Mark “Moose” Imfeld. Mark and his brother Matt are long time friends of PEB.

Mark was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in November 2013. On Feb. 21, 2014 he underwent a stem cell transplant at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.  The stem cell donor for Mark was his other brother, Mike who was a 10 out of 10 stem cell match!  Mark has high hopes that his brother’s healthy stem cells will eliminate his leukemia cells. After recovering from the  transplant Mark will still require more chemotherapy, immunosuppressant medications and many months of hospitalization.

Mark is a self employed investigator and lives with his wife Carmen and five children-  Sean, Holly, April, Ryan and Kelly.  Mark is presently recovering from his transplant where his brother  Because this fight with leukemia will be a long road for Mark and his family PEB decided to make this their annual fundraiser/ Gaparilla 2014 run for Moose!

All donated funds will go toward helping Mark’s family with his ongoing medical and ancillary expenses. All donations may be made out to Moosestrong and mailed to:

Page & Eichenblatt , P.A. 214 E Lucerne Circle Orlando, Fl 32801.

“My heart bleeds for innocents born into hopelessness.

Yet when we extend our swords of justice and shield their dignity, humanity, and respect, they transform to children of hope, faith, and ultimate goodness.

The payment, a smile of recognition, heartfelt gold for their legal warriors greater than any dollar.

Although they believe we are helping them, it is us as Guardians who are being helped,” Steve Eichenblatt
